Staff - Kelton

Kelton Travis, B.A. (Hons)

General Manager


Kelton is the General Manager at Revolution Recovery, where he brings nearly five years of professional experience in the field of addiction. Drawing on both his lived experience with addiction and his academic background in psychology, Kelton is deeply committed to ensuring that every individual has the opportunity to recover with dignity and support. He believes wholeheartedly in a compassionate, person-centered approach to recovery, and emphasizes the importance of helping people rediscover purpose and meaning in their lives as part of the recovery process.


Kelton holds an Associate of Arts degree from Douglas College and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology from Simon Fraser University. His research focused on gratitude and prosocial behaviour, and he continues to contribute to the field as a research assistant in both the Helping and Happiness Lab and the Studies in Methodology and Philosophy of Psychological Science (SMPPS) Lab at Simon Fraser University.

Matthew Noga

Operations Manager


Matthew serves as the Operations Manager, overseeing all day-to-day functions and ensuring that everything at Revolution runs smoothly and efficiently. His journey with Revolution began in 2022 when he went through Revolution Recovery, an experience that profoundly shaped his life and perspective. Since then, Matthew has proudly maintained three years of sobriety.


His personal journey fuels his deep commitment to supporting others in recovery. Known for his kindness, compassion, and empathy, Matthew thrives in his work with residents—offering guidance, understanding, and encouragement every step of the way. His dedication to recovery and to helping others rebuild their lives makes him an invaluable part of the team and an inspiring example of what’s possible through perseverance and support.




Staff - Ruby

Ruby Bains, RCC

Registered Clinical Counsellor


With over 15 years in the counselling field and 10 years of post-Masters clinical experience, Ruby specializes in supporting clients across British Columbia with a wide range of mental health needs, including substance use and process dependencies, anxiety, depression, anger, grief, psychiatric concerns, relationships, parenting, and cross-cultural issues. Ruby is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) providing virtual therapy only (secure video or phone) for clients throughout BC.


Her practice takes a holistic approach, drawing on CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Existential and Narrative Therapy, and Somatic Experiencing, tailoring each session to individual needs. Ruby sees therapy as a collaborative process where clients can feel supported, safe, and empowered to grow.


In addition to her services, Ruby's practice includes other qualified counsellors (Registered Clinical Counsellors and Registered Social Workers) who are available to support clients.


Staff - Jodi

Jodi Takhar RTC, CHt,

Counsellor/Group Facilitator


Jodi is a Family Addictions Specialist with over 15 years of experience as a counsellor and more than 29 years in recovery. She has a unique understanding of substance use disorder (addiction) from several perspectives: the parent, the child, the spouse, and the person who is addicted. Jodi believes in guiding her clients with a compassionate, person-centred approach that connects the mind and the body for an integrated approach to healing from the inside out. 


She offers an extraordinary range of experience, supporting teens, couples, families, and individuals. She draws from a variety of modalities, including Family Systems Therapy, trauma-informed therapy, body-centred therapy, Gestalt, and Compassionate Inquiry. Jodi has expertise in assisting clients facing challenges with grief and loss, addiction, ADHD, anger management, PTSD, weight loss concerns, anxiety, and depression. Jodi creates a supportive, non-judgmental environment for you to relax and begin your healing journey. 


Staff - Jimmy

Jimmy Sandes

Group Facilitator


Jimmy brings nearly a decade of experience in the recovery field and a strong commitment to supporting individuals on their journey to sobriety. As a house alumni, he understands the recovery process from both lived experience and professional practice, allowing him to connect with residents in a genuine and compassionate way.


Jimmy has served in roles including House Manager and Group Facilitator, where he supports residents through structured programming and guidance rooted in the 12-Step approach. He is known for being caring, approachable, and resident-centred, always prioritizing the needs and well-being of those he supports.


Currently pursuing a Social Services Diploma, Jimmy continues to expand his knowledge and skills to better serve the recovery community. As a dedicated team player with an easy-going nature, he helps create a supportive and welcoming environment for residents working toward lasting recovery.

Staff - Alexis

Alexis Root

Group Facilitator


Alexis is a dedicated Group Facilitator at Revolutions Recovery, bringing over 13 years of lived recovery experience and a strong foundation in addiction treatment, trauma-informed care, and group facilitation. Her approach is sounded in both harm reduction and abstinence-based models, with a focus on compassionate, client-centered support. Alexis draws on certifications in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Informed Practice (UBC), Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, and Meditation Instruction (Chopra Centre) to create structured, therapeutic group environments that support healing, personal growth, and sustainable recovery.


Alexis began her recovery journey at the age of 19 and maintained six years of sobriety before experiencing relapse. She returned to recovery in 2012 and has remained clean since August 5 of that year. This lived experience—of both long-term sobriety and the challenges of relapse—deeply informs her empathetic and nonjudgmental approach to supporting others. She is the founder and Executive Director of Recovery Kidz Society (est. 2013), and a mother of four whose personal and professional experience with addiction and the child welfare system (MCFD) informs her work. Her deep commitment to service, family, and recovery is at the heart of everything she does, both in and outside of her clinical practice.

Staff - Bruce

Bruce Wilson

House Manager


Bruce is 11 years sober and serves as a House Manager at Revolution Recovery. He has dedicated his life to helping men transform their lives into ones worth living. Having experienced firsthand the challenges and rewards of recovery, Bruce brings a deep sense of empathy, understanding, and authenticity to his role.

Bruce has an extensive working and living knowledge of the 12 Steps of AA, which he actively applies in his daily life and shares with the men he supports. His ability to translate these principles into practical, real-world guidance allows residents to better understand and integrate recovery into their own lives.


He is passionate about creating a safe, structured, and supportive environment where men can begin to rebuild their lives with purpose and dignity. Bruce takes pride in mentoring residents through both the difficult moments and the milestones, always leading by example and encouraging personal growth, accountability, and connection.


Driven by a genuine desire to give back, Bruce finds fulfillment in walking alongside others on their recovery journey. His mission is to help as many people as possible, one day at a time, while reminding each individual that lasting change is not only possible, but worth it.

Staff - Anj

ANj bergh

Support Worker


Anj brings a compassionate, trauma-informed approach to her work supporting individuals and families in recovery. She has experience working with vulnerable and high-risk populations through culturally grounded and harm-reduction focused services.


Through her work with LUMA Native Housing, Anj advocates for individuals experiencing vulnerability by helping connect them to basic needs, housing, and safety while supporting culturally based approaches to care and recovery.


Anj has also contributed her skills through Talitha Koum Support Work, where she worked closely with women and children. In this role, she supported individuals in learning the principles of the 12 Steps, building essential life skills, developing healthy parenting practices, and navigating trauma-informed healing.

In addition, Anj has experience within Sober Living Services, supporting both men and women recovering from addiction. Her work has included direct resident support as well as involvement in operations and program coordination, helping create safe and structured environments for individuals working toward long-term recovery.



Anj is passionate about meeting people where they are at and empowering them with the tools, support, and dignity needed to rebuild meaningful lives.

Support Worker



Rodrique is a dedicated support worker with extensive experience in the industry, specializing in processing groups and one-on-one support. With over nine years of personal recovery, Rodrique is passionate about empowering men to grow and rebuild their lives, one step at a time. His compassionate approach and deep understanding of the challenges faced by individuals in recovery create a supportive environment for transformation and healing. Rodrique’s commitment to fostering resilience and personal growth makes him a valuable resource for those seeking to navigate their journey toward a brighter future.
